about this sketch:

"I was sixteen when I made this portrait sketch in 1970. My drawing is of Susan Mesches, the daughter of famed artist, Arnold Mesches.

Susan and I both attended North Hollywood High School in LA's San Fernando Valley, and on several occasions I had the opportunity to visit her house. I was of course intrigued by her father's artworks, which were hung on the walls and stacked up in every corner of the dwelling. I created my sketch using Susan as a live model as she played her guitar."
